Citizens from almost all countries in the world are required to obtain a visa before entering Cuba. To know whether or not you need a visa to visit Cuba, visit iVisa.com. Simply select your home country and "Cuba" then click "Get Started!"
Important Note: All citizens of the United States or international citizens traveling to Cuba through the United States must obtain a Cuba Visa prior to their departure to Cuba.
Tip: Before you purchase a visa, ensure that your airline or travel package doesn’t include or provide the visa for you. Once that is determined, you may proceed.
Most United States commercial airlines allow you to purchase your Cuba Visa at the airport. If the process changes, be advised that this information will be updated, but as for now, this is the process for obtaining a Cuba Visa prior to travel to Cuba from the USA.
After purchasing your flight, call your airline to confirm their visa process.
The following US airlines travel to Cuba. You will find Cuba Visa costs and where you may obtain them below. Please be advised that prices are subject to change at any time due to pricing changes with each airline. The prices below simply reflect what each airline communicates via their website.
- American: $85 in advance online & sent via post mail, $100 when purchased at the gate
- Delta: $85 – purchase at the gate or through the mail
- JetBlue: $85 – purchase at the gate
- Southwest: $85 – purchase at the gate or online & delivered at the gate
- United: $85 – purchase at the gate
If the information above says "purchase at the gate", that means that you will purchase your visa at your final airport before leaving the USA and flying to Cuba. That being said, we always encourage our travelers to call their airline anyway to confirm the process, as the process or location of purchase is subject to change.
If your airline is not listed above, don’t fret. It would be a good idea to contact your chosen airline before purchasing your flight to ensure that you may purchase a Cuba Visa from them. The airlines listed above are simply the most typical commercial airlines that travel to Cuba from the United States and we understand that these can change at any time.

The Process of Obtaining Your Cuba Visa
If you are flying from the USA and chose not to purchase and obtain your Cuba Visa prior to your departure, please follow the process below.
- Upon your arrival at the airport, visit the ticket counter of your airline before departure from the USA.
- Check your bags, obtain your airline ticket, and ask for your Cuba Visa.

- Confirm where you will receive your Cuba Visa (at the ticket counter or at a kiosk near your gate).
